I was wondering if you could help me.
Do you have a particular method in choosing the correct colours for the of skin tone at the beginning?
I understand the theory that Light, Mid-tone and Shadow each have different tints which are affected by Form, Environmental Light and which Part of the face it is (e.g.Cheeks are red), but when I look at someone's skin I can't seem to 'choose' the correct colours to make it look believable in my painting.
Do you have any tips/techniques/exercises on how to train your eye to be able to pick out the main colours in the skin needed to produce a good portrait?
